My Story

Hank is a nearly 7 year old longhair dachshund. He is a small standard at 18 pounds and incredibly sweet. He has had a recent dental, he is neutered, vaccinated and chipped. He is permanently paralyzed but has custom wheels he loves to walk and explore in. This boy is so good with kids, dogs and cats and is very paternal to the puppy in his foster home. He both plays with, grooms and cuddles the puppy. As he is paralyzed, he does require regular bladder expression 3-4 times a day and is on a daily med to relax his bladder wall and make him easier to express. This boy is so very special and we won't adopt him to just anyone but he is so worth it. He bonds very closely with his people and lives to cuddle and stare deep in your eyes. He does demand scratches and will hop around the house after you when not in his wheels. To be considered, please apply on our website: https://www.portlanddachshundrescue.org/adoptionform
