My Story

Meet Hank! Hank is "floppy". When watching him, it is evident that he can be clumsy and lose his balance. He quickly recovers, being adept at rolling and getting back on his feet. His lack of coordination doesn't bother him or slow him down. He LOVES swimming and water and that exercise has been making stronger over the weeks and more confident as he grows and gets stronger. Hank was assessed by a Veterinary Neurologist who believes that, while he may never be an athlete, he will be a wonderful companion. He's active, constantly chasing (and being chased by) his sister. He loves splashing in the kiddie pool, likes being with other dogs, and is great with children. He reliably comes when called. His potty training is a bit inconsistent, but we are working on it. He is learning leash manners and walks on the leash without flopping. Hank is also in the middle of crate training. He doesn’t very well with the crate with no issue going into it, but does need to be let out overnight as he learns to potty training. Despite his coordination challenges, he is a very sweet little boy who embraces life with enthusiasm. This is a boy who deserves a great family who will appreciate his uniqueness and joy of life. I have included a picture of Mom in his profile.
