Hamilton - Alaskan Malamute mix – 4yrs – male (75lbs) Introducing our handsome boy, Hamilton! This big guy was found up north running in the forest behind someone’s home. He was picked up by Animal Control and sat there waiting for his owner to come claim him… sadly that never happened. We spotted him at that county shelter and had to bring him back with us. Hamilton is a big, goofy boy. He’s happy, silly, and full of life! He’s not the best on a leash, as he likes to pretend that the person holding the leash is a sleigh and it’s his job to pull. ? He does his job well! He’s great with people of all ages and loves to be around them using his big body to smash them against a wall and insist on getting pets. Hamilton, as is normal for the breed, is a talker and will let you know when he wants something or is unhappy with a situation. He doesn’t have accidents in his kennel area so we believe he’s housebroken. He’s also a very well behaved boy in his kennel and will contentedly relax on his bed all day. He’s done fine with the other dogs he’s met at our shelter, but he’s not very playful and definitely prefers people. He is also very food motivated and will do just about anything for a treat! Hamilton has a beautiful coat that will require regular grooming and a home where the people are not afraid of dog-hair. ? This beautiful boy is wicked smart, stubborn, silly, and full of life!
