My Story

Halls is simply a sweetheart. He is initially quite a shy dog and may require a few days to get comfortable, but once he feels safe, he just blossoms into a very sweet and gentle boy. A large portion of his day is spent relaxing and sleeping in his bed. He loves his meal times and is very treat-motivated. He enjoys his walks and may even occasionally plop down in the middle of a walk to sunbathe and roll around in the grass. He also enjoys simply sunbathing in a side yard. Once he trusts you, he's very open to handling for medical purposes - we have no problem cleaning his ears, applying eye ointments and brushing his teeth. He does just fine being at home alone - we've discovered that he normally just moves between different sleeping spots. He also enjoys the company of our other senior grandma dog - he's always respected her space, sniffs her and has even progressed to giving her kisses. And let us not forget his occasional zoomies! He's quite spry and springy for a dog his size. Halls is not a dog of many needs - it seems as if Halls just wants a safe space to rest his head, have a few people to love/cuddle with, eat yummy food and explore the world around him.
