Halle

Update: After only being with us less than two weeks, Halle won the heart of one of our volunteers and is now living with her and her 6 cats forever more. She reports that Halle is wonderful, as well as her constant companion. Sadly, not to be many eight-year-old dogs get a second chance at a wonderful life after being surrendered to the pound, however, Halle beat the odds, which makes this an extra-special happy ending.

Halle was once someone’s beloved family pet, a loveable mix reportedly raised amongst little children whom she loved like her own. Unfortunately, the safety and comfort of the only home she ever knew was taken away from her when her owner was evicted. With no new home to go to, the owner reluctantly surrended her to the pound, a decision that caused Halle to become very sad and confused…she didn’t understand why at eight years old she was all of a sudden in a cold, noisy cage; she didn’t understand why her family, especially the kids, were no longer with her; and she didn’t understand why no one was taking her home. Though she had a lot time to think about all this, things got better for this sweet gal when Angel PAWS pulled her out of the pound and put her in a foster home. Her foster family has confirmed that she is great with kids, and has also discovered she is great with other dogs, is cool in the car, is cage trained (though she prefers the comfy chair in the family room), likes baths, is housetrained, is affectionate, and doesn’t give a hoot about cats. Also, she loooooves treats and is real easy to train. Now all she needs is someone to give her a new home, one that this time, she can stay in forever.
