My Story

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. From stray to shelter dog: meet Hal! He is about 45 to 50 pounds, short legged, could be a beagle/lab/pitbull mix. He was already neutered when he showed up. He prefers female dogs to males. He gets real excited when he sees females, but he gets grumpy when he sees male dogs. He is great with all humans, house trained, ready to go to a new home. What can we say about Hal? Well he is a "leaner," and he's devoted to humans, and he really loves going out for walks with the volunteers. That's our start; we don't know much about him because he came in as a stray and despite being neutered, we have no way of knowing to whom he belongs. Perhaps he was left behind when someone moved or perhaps he was given away and his new family doesn't know he's missing. Regardless, he seems OK with the other dogs around though we have not specifically tested him. The family who found him in their neighborhood, had children and thought he was OK with the children, but we don't have small kids to test with at the shelter right now. He has always been pleasant every time I have seen him. We hope he finds home quickly because he is really a handsome boy!
