Hi, I'm Piggly! I am described by volunteers as a sweet 9 month old pittie mix who is eager for her forever family! I have been paired up with some friends here at the shelter so given a proper intro and some time I may do well with a doggie friend in the house! I tend to find squirrels a bit too interesting but volunteers say with some treats I easily focus back up! I would love to meet you and see if you might be my perfect match! I also went on a doggie day out adventure with a volunteer on 6/15, here is what they had to say! Piggly was a fun companion for our morning walk around Land Park. She was great keeping up with us for two hours before taking a rest. Piggly ignored passer bys, but did stop to take in parade passing by. She wasnt sure what to make of the noise, but did not react. After a few encouragements she continued on our walk. She mostly ignored small dogs, and appears eager to play with dogs her size that were passing by, but did not jump or bark. In fact, she didnt bark at all. Piggly does need more leash time. She tends to pull the lease, but can be redirected easily with verbal cues. Once tired out, Piggly walked nicely next to us. We absolutely love it when she splooshes in the grass. Piggly is a sweet friendly girl that would do well in an active home as the only dog or with a similar size doggy friend.
