My Story

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. AdoptaGSD.org Please consider that some of these dogs have been abandoned or ignored by their previous owners, having little interaction with someone who cares about them. When adopted, they will need time to adjust to the changes in their life. Hi, my name is Hachita Hattie, and I'm an adorable female GSD puppy with an estimated DOB of 4/28/24 who was surrendered, along with my three littermates, to a shelter by a breeder who couldn't sell us, so he dumped us. With shelters being extremely full, our chances of being euthanized were very high, but thankfully, FRGSR agreed to take us so that we could find a better life. I'm currently living in a foster home with two other GSDs and I'm doing great! My foster mom has been working with me on potty training and I'm making really good progress. She anticipates my needs and takes me outside after I eat or wake up from a nap, and I'm learning the routine. I figured out the dog door in just a few days, and I already know the commands of "sit", "come", "outside", "off" and "bedtime". I'm working on "stay", but given my young age, I can get easily distracted. My big sister, FRGSR Alumni Piper, is teaching me a LOT! Mom likes to take us to the Grand Mesa and I LOVE to play in the water, sometimes sticking my whole head under! I walk well on a leash, I ride well in the car, and I sleep through the night. I've met some of my foster mom's human friends and neighbors, both adults and kids, and I just love everyone! I'm not fully vaccinated, so mom isn't exposing me to other dogs outside of her home yet. Mom thinks I would do well at agility training in the future, because I'm super smart! I'm a happy, playful, affectionate pup who's looking for an adopter who will continue with my training and socialization so that I'll grow up to be a well-balanced adult dog. If you are interested, please go to adoptagsd.org. My adoption fee is $550. Although we do our best to keep our adoptable animals page as current as possible, the animals you see may already be in an adoption process.
