After Hachi was brought here from Japan (yes, he is an authentic Shiba/Akita mix from Asia) he had a fairly happy life with his family, but that quickly changed. Hachi's health care became neglected, and after the humans split up, Hachi was abandoned at the dog sitter's home. Several months and multiple attempts to get this owner to take responsibility for her dog resulted in, "Just take him to the shelter."
Well, we couldn't let that happen, and Hachi is now under the care of our rescue.
This senior boy is "Easy" with a capital "E"! A couch potato of the highest order, Hachi just needs a cozy place to hang with his people or his canine and feline siblings. He just wants to chillax. A leisurely walk, weather permitting, is great, too.
