Meet Habiba, a brave survivor in need of a loving home. Are you looking for a rewarding project? Meet Habiba, a courageous dog who arrived at Animatch with her six puppies all the way from Tunisia. For the first four months, Habiba dedicated herself to protecting her puppies and ensuring their safety in a place where not all dogs are fortunate enough to be beloved family members. Life has been a struggle for her, but now it's her turn to feel safe and secure. Trust takes time, and for Habiba, humans have not always been kind. We are seeking a patient and compassionate family who can see beyond her fearful, skittish nature and help her become the beloved family dog she deserves to be. We can't promise how long it will take for her to fully trust and feel at home—it might take weeks, months, or even longer. Habiba may always remain a bit reticent and shy, but with acceptance and love, she can thrive. An ideal home for Habiba would be an adult household or one with children over 12. Experience with shy dogs who have endured trauma would be beneficial. With patience, understanding, and plenty of time spent going on long walks, car rides, and maybe even playing fetch, Habiba can learn to enjoy life again. Eventually, training will be essential once she has settled into her new environment. Please consider giving Habiba her first real chance at happiness. Show her that humans can be her friends and provide the love and care she needs.
