Outgoing and unbelievably fun, light yellow, almost white, Gus is 1.5 years old and weighs a trim, athletic 86 pounds. He came to us from a family where he was a well-loved and cared for family pet. The arrival of a new baby and military duty left little time for Gus and we’re delighted to help find him a perfect forever home.
Gus is housetrained, knows some basic commands – sit, stay and to come when called -- and is fine left alone in the house. Young, energetic and friendly he adores everyone, human or canine. With his big heart and lovely temperament, he’s very good with the younger set.
Gus loves to play with other dogs. Walks, trips to the park and of course swimming are all on his list of favorites. Messing around with tennis balls is pretty high on the list too! Thoroughly good-natured, he pretty much takes life in stride and is a good sport about baths and brushing. Our volunteer who met Gus told us, “As a young Lab, Gus would do best in a household where walks and adventures are a part of life. He’s a true Lab through and through!” A six foot fence will be best for this athletic and sociable young fellow.
With Gus by your side a swirl of happiness awaits you So grab a couple of tennis balls for tossing and a leash and come meet this marvelous strikingly handsome youngster. . . we bet you won’t be going home alone!
