Meet Gus, a sweet 1-year-old Beagle/Shar Pei mix weighing in at 25 lbs. Gus is a bundle of intelligence and affection, always alert and curious about his surroundings. His love for bones and his keen nose keep him happily exploring. Gus is being house-trained and has had no accidents indoors. He’s quickly learning commands like “sit” and “outside,” and is improving on the leash every day. Gus is fantastic with kids and other dogs, making him a perfect family companion. Plus, he’s an absolute master at fetch! This sweet boy has been through a lot in his young life, but he’s ready to start a new chapter. Gus has spent about a year in the shelter through no fault of his own, and now he’s learning what it means to be a dog in a loving foster home. His foster mom said she cannot believe how quickly he is adjusting and picking up on both commands and routines. Despite his challenging past, Gus is full of potential and ready to blossom with the right family. He’s looking for a patient and understanding home where he can continue to learn and grow.
