Meet Gunner, a two-year-old, chocolate male Labrador Retriever who is in need of a new place to call home. Gunner is being surrendered because he constantly jumps over the owner's 4-foot fence (split rail with chicken wire) to visit the animals (two dogs, chickens and a pig) on the next-door neighbor's property. If his new family has a fence, it must be at least 6 feet high otherwise, Gunner will more than likely jump it. If there is no fence, then Gunner must be walked for a sufficient time/distance to be able to manage his high energy level.
His owners have also learned that it is not a good idea to purchase two male litter mates. Gunner and Ranger do not enjoy sharing bones or their owners' attention.
Gunner has your quintessential Labrador Retriever traits such as being a friendly boy who loves to play fetch with tennis balls and toys as well as swim. While Gunner does not live with any children, the owners' grandchildren who are 2 (twins), 7, 8, 9 and 12 visit frequently. Gunner is said to be great with them.
Gunner is good with other dogs, but he does not need one. Gunner is unknown with cats.
Gunner is an intact male which means he will be adopted with a Sterilization Agreement.
