Hello, my name is Griffin. I was rescued by Almost Home with 30 other dogs! We came from a place called a puppy mill. I lived in a cage my entire life (by the way I am 6 years old), but now I am in foster care and love the freedom of the back yard! I am friendly but still a little shy with people, once people are nice to me and provide for me, I will warm right up! I like other dogs and don't mind cratetraining. Last week I visited Dr Anna and I was neutered, vaccinated, heartworm tested and dewormed. I also had a dental cleaning and lost some teeth because they were rotten- there is no vet care in a puppy mill! I sure feel better now and every day is a new adventure!

Griffin is neutered, utd shots, dewormed, heartworm tested. His adoption donation is $200. We require an adoption application, references, adoption contract and home visit. We only adopt to families in SD, MN, NE, ND, IA.

Important things to know before you contact us:

If you are out of state, it does take time to process your application and find a home visitor from another rescue to do your visit. Please be SERIOUS about adopting a dog from our rescue before submitting an application.

The email address you're using is managed by one or two people. Please be patient.

The application is the first step. After we receive and approve a completed application, we will schedule a home visit.

Almost Home is run from foster homes. We have no facility for the public to come in and view pets.

We do not ship our dogs.
