My Story

Gretel was turned in to the pound by her owners. I don't know what happened to Hansel, but I bet there was one. She's been a mommy so Hansel could have been a brother or a mate.

Gretel is 12 lbs, a very small dog, but a decent size Pom. I thought she was just "Pomzilla", but a friend looked up German Spitz and she looks exactly like them. Of course she'd be a very small German Spitz. Either way she has a beautiful, full coat.

Gretel's sweet and fun. She's usually calm but she turns in circles when she's excited and she likes to play chase. Chase is pretty funny, she'll come right up to me, get my attention, then run. She also has a pretty smile and will smile back if you smile first.

She smiled at me from the medical room of the pound, so I had to take her. She was there for "female problems" (it's not polite to ask, but she'll mend entirely). The medical room is a bad place to be, because visitors can't see the doggies there so they have very little chance of being adopted even if, like Gretel, they're going to be fine.

Gretel is a very gentle, playful girl and would do well with a gentle family. She likes other doggies and is oblivious to kitties. She doesn't know how to walk on a leash but will do it if there's another doggie on a leash walking next to her. Otherwise she won't budge. She does pee outside though.

There is an adoption fee to cover vet and bail for the next little dog. Please e-mail to meet Gretel.
