Gretel is the silliest being Ive ever met. If her face didnt share the story of her unfair past, you would never know she ever experienced such trauma. Since being in foster care, shes learned how to live indoors and that the toilet is only outside! Shes learned that her crate is a safe haven and a great place to unwind. Shes learned that sitting is a polite way to ask for something she wants. Shes learned that routines make her feel more calm. And shes learned to stay within the boundaries of the yard, regardless of what distractions are out there. Gretel has always known how to bring fun to the party, how to win over furry friends. And how to seize the moment! Does she have a lot of energy? Yes. Does she know how to take a break? Yes. To summarize. Gretel is joy. Gretel brings joy. And Gretel learns best from joyful teachings! Dogs have been heartworm tested and if appropriate (age and time of year) all dogs and puppies are given heartworm preventative. All are given medication to rid them of roundworms and checked and treated for fleas & ear mites, if needed. Dogs and puppies are given distemper vaccines and depending on how long the pet has been in foster care, additional distemper vaccine(s) may be necessary and the expense will be incurred by the adopter. Any canine over 4 months of age is brought current on the Rabies vaccine. Additional vet care may have been provided depending on the particular animal's needs. Dogs are individually priced as above. Please note that we do not ship dogs and we cannot guarantee that a long trip to see a foster dog will result in an adoption or taking the dog home on that day. It is in the best interest of pooch and owner to enroll in an obedience class soon after adoption. After all, you have a lot to learn about your new friend.
