Greta is a 1.5-year old, 32 lb female Hound/mix. She is located in South Texas and will be transported.
Hello, my name is Greta, and I'm a very sweet and pretty timid little girl. I was rescued from Animal Control, and my foster family has been working to help me come out of my shell (I was pretty scared back there!). It was slow at first, but I've been feeling more confident and really starting to enjoy life more. I have a dog friend here in my foster home, so I would definitely need a dog buddy in my new home (dogs are the best teachers after all!) At first I was so shy I would just pancake when someone came close, now, I'm more relaxed and I'm actually sniffing people and starting to feel more comfortable around them! Wow! I really love my foster mom and feel very comfortable with her, and I like the rest of my foster family, kids included, but I am a little more reserved with other people. I can't say I'm a friendly, outgoing pup, but I have a kind and gentle soul, and I hope to find someone who will be patient and understanding and help me continue building my confidence. I promise I'm worth it! I am potty trained and crate trained too, and I'm starting to enjoy walks with my dog buddy (believe me, that's huge for me!). I think I would be best in a quiet home with at least a small yard so I could relax outdoors sometimes. I would really love a forever home of my own so I can settle in with a family that I can devote myself to - will that be you? I hope so!
