My Story

Okay so...admittedly, Grayson is not a pug. He may be a puggle or some sort of other mix, but regardless, we couldn't say no to welcoming this sweet boy into our rescue. We were contacted by someone who saw Grayson being abandoned by an unhoused person, and Grayson was in rough shape. He had a horrible case of Demodex mange, and it was so severe he could barely open his eyes. His skin was painfully infected, and his spirit was just broken. For the first week he was with us, he was lethargic and seemed to accept the idea that life is just hard, and people are cruel. Fast forward to now, and Grayson's outlook has totally changed! He is a staff favorite around here and absolutely loves all the attention he's getting. Grayson still has a little way to go until he's 100%, but his medicated baths and antibiotics are helping him get closer every day. As he continues to heal, Grayson is coming out of his shell and will soon make a full recovery! His coat is growing back, and the once sad, lost dog is now happy and playful! Grayson does great with other dogs and loves meeting new people. When he first arrived, we actually thought he was a senior, but it turns out this guy is only about 1 year old! He's got his whole life ahead of him, and sure it was rough to start, but with your help, it'll be better than he could have ever possibly imagined in no time. He enjoys playing with toys, going for walks, and getting belly rubs. Grayson has a special fondness for squeaky toys and can often be found carrying one around with him. He's a quick learner too and eager to please. Grayson's ideal home will be one with an active owner to keep up with his youthful energy. He'd love to have another dog sibling in the home too, as he thrives on companionship and playtime. A yard to run around in would be a bonus, but most importantly, he needs a person who will show him that he's worthy of all the love he deserves. Grayson has shown incredible progress and resilience, and he's ready to bring joy and love into a forever home. Grayson's story is one of transformation and hope. From being abandoned and suffering to becoming an affectionate companion, he embodies the spirit of second chances. He has a playful and curious nature, always eager to explore new places and meet new friends. If you're ready to open your heart and home to this remarkable dog, please inquire today and give Grayson the loving forever home he deserves!
