Granite and his foster mom Iris competed in the Lee's Cabin Skijor Race and finished in fifth place!
Granite is a large, long-legged blonde husky who would make a great skijor dog or recreational leader. He is about 55 pounds, is already neutered, is microchipped, and is about 4 years old. Granite is not a hyper dog. Granite is a wonderful guy, very friendly and polite. He has been running lead for quite some time now in both skijor and mushing teams. He's fast and has a nice trot and lope. He has gone up to 20 miles recently and he doesn't seem to have any problem with distance.
