My Story

We looked and looked and couldn’t figure what this beautiful dog could be mixed with. Then we saw a Catahoula Leopard Dog walking down the street and we were stunned. Of course it’s still just a guess, and the marbling color in her fur still has us stumped, but we wouldn’t be at all surprised if her predominant breed was the Catahoula. Granite (named for her coloring) was found tied and abandoned in front of a row of stores. She just sat there waiting, and waiting but her owner never returned. Now she’s enjoying her ‘vacation’ at the animal control facility while waiting for a new family to fall in love. A quick guess says she’s about a year old and weighs about 50 pounds. She’s such a friendly dog, and so very anxious to please. Catahoula’s need exercise and enjoy being taken on daily walks or romping in the safety of a fenced yard. They are the perfect companion breed for joggers and hikers. So, if you an active family looking for a dog to make your family complete Granite may be perfect for you. >>>>>GREAT NEWS!
