$50 Adoption fee! Why so low? Grandpa comes from Yakima County, which is spilling over with stray and dumped dogs. Our goal is to get dogs into the right homes ASAP so we can help other dogs in need. It's not about the money, it's about finding the right home for these pups! This old guy has quite a sad story. He was found in a ditch in the lower valley. The Finder had to chase off other stray dogs who were starting to attack Grandpa (probably to kill and eat). He refused to eat for several days and ended up passing two plastic bags. Normally this would have caused a blockage and killed a dog. He has been nursed back to health, and his spunky personality is shining through. We don’t think he ever spent time inside a home, so has had a lot to learn. He picked up on potty training and leash walking, but is absolutely starved for attention. He LOVES being loved. He gets SO happy when I hug him and kiss his face. He is slowly learning that he’s ok here with us. He also has a bad habit of nipping while giving kisses. We are working hard to stop that behavior and he is responding really well to training. He hardly ever does it anymore.
