My Story

MISS GRACIE! A gentle natured hound who is looking for her furever home! Gracie was rescued from the side of the road on Hwy 211 in Robeson County after being hit by a car. She nearly lost one of her front legs due to a severe break. She had been living in the swamp off of Hwy 211 after being discarded by a deer hunter when she didn’t hunt like he wanted her to. She is now terrified of cars and trucks. She does not like to go for rides in a car and she gets car sick. She has been around cats in the past, but has recently decided that she does not like them any more. She LOVES to go for walks and play with her toys. She is great with kids and would love to run around with them in a fenced yard. She is crate trained and likes to relax in her crate during the day. She looks bigger in her pictures, but she is a very sweet, petite girl and only weighs 36 pounds. Due to her injury, her small size and her very sweet nature, she IS NOT a hunting dog. She has pins in her leg from her surgery and could re-injure her leg. As her name portrays, Gracie is a sweet, gentle, loving dog and will make someone a wonderful, inside companion. Adoption fee includes: up to date shots, heartworm prevention and spay. If you would like to meet Miss Gracie, please contact: [email protected]
