As befits his noble Japanese heritage, Gordon is a stately, dignified fellow - despite the difficulties he endured prior to rescue. Gordon had been horribly neglected and abused; he was emaciated, covered with ticks, and the tips of his ears had been chewed off by fleas. Yet, he always maintained his regal bearing.
Gordon is a wonderfully handsome, huge 7 year-old Akita. He is incredibly friendly, devoted, and loving to people. He has the biggest, blockiest, most handsome paws you have ever seen. He enjoys walks and is great on the leash. He rides well in the car and is a very calm boy. He truly will be a magnificent and loyal companion to a lucky person or family. He has been in the shelter far too long as is longing for a home where he can show you just how wonderful he is.
Please note: Gordon will only be placed in a home with no other pets, and because of his size, no small children.
