Two year old Goofy is a “get along kind of guy”. His foster sister, who’s quite particular about her friends, adores him! He’s doing well with his dog savvy feline housemate too. Goofy is an athletic, agile boy who needs some plumping up at 67 pounds. He’s housetrained and does well in a crate for a reasonable period of time. Just make sure there’s a tasty treat in there! Goofy is a sweet boy who loves people and is always curious about what’s going on . . . he wants to be a big part of your life!
His foster mom tells us: “Goofy is a youngster with lots of energy. He responds well to correction, doesn't seem terribly interested in toys and although he’ll chase a ball, he quickly loses interest in it. He does return it right to my hand. He’s hesitant when coming indoors as though he frequently wasn't invited in.
“If there is food present, nothing else interests him. I suspect this is because he was hungry for a long time. He’s pretty skinny and eager to get some of the hand-outs.
“He pulls on the leash and knows a few commands like "come" and "sit" and gets the idea of ‘off’ and ‘leave-it’. He readily wants to please and will be a great companion with a little training and attention.”
While Goofy is a people lover, he’s also self reliant and happy to relax on his bed when his foster mom is busy. He’d love a forever home with another dog he can play the day away with and then curl up for a good long snooze.
So how about adding a smile and a little fun to your life every day with a great young Lab named Goofy!
