Before Golden was rescued he had spent over 420 days at the shelter, so more than a third of his life! He was a staff favorite and his temp foster says he is a sweet boy.
Golden is crate trained indoors, centrally placed where he sees the family activity going on. Crating is for a very short period of time, giving him a den he can relax in. When first out of the crate he gets excited and is led outside to potty, play and come back in to freely socialize. He is healthy and gently takes treats, he loves to be rewarded for his good looks and behavior.
He is dog friendly and people friendly but takes a little while to warm up. He gets nervous around kids under 11, so no small children and no cats.
