At one time, White German Shepherds were banned by the AKC (American Kennel Club), they were not considered the breed standard. The coat of a white German Shepherd exits because of a recessive gene- but they are no different from the Black and Tan, Black or Sable German Shepherd. Change A Life Dog Rescue has an amazing example of the beautiful White German Shepherd in our pup Ginny. She is living in CT and looking for her forever home! Ginny is a sweetheart of a pup. She is about 60 lbs, 3yrs old, active and AMAZING with kids…so amazing that we believe she really needs to be with children. We believe Ginny thinks it is her job to guard and care for the children. Ginny is great on a leash, good in a car, housebroken, crate trained and an all around great dog. We are not sure what kind of dogs Ginny likes, but we know she doesn’t like cats.
