My Story

Ginger is a sweet senior (dont tell her though) who spent seven years in a home. She reportedly did well with kids and other dogs, was housebroken and crate trained, and was described by her person as a playful, loyal couch potato. She also loves toys and car rides. Ginger spent time in two different foster homes where she again did great with kiddos, was housebroken, and loved getting attention from her foster people. She was described as an affectionate couch potato who enjoys her daily walks. One of Gingers best volunteer friends made a list of the top 10 reasons to adopt this special gal- check it out!! 1. She truly adores all people. 2. Shes extremely smart and always aims to please. 3. Shes fun and playful. 4. Shes house trained. 5. Shes well-mannered and well-behaved. 6. Shes super affectionate and gives excellent kisses. 7. She loves life! Shes always excited for car rides, toys, treats, walks and tummy rubs! 8. She has a perfect mix of energy - shes lively and fun but is also a calm and cuddly couch potato. 9. She has a great attitude and is always incredibly happy! 10. She wants nothing more than to make someone special the center of her world. Here's what else folks have said: I absolutely love spending time with Ginger. Shes extremely treat-motivated. We went into a play yard where she immediately approached me for pets. She mostly stayed close to me, plopping herself down and leaning in for pets. She is such a sweet and affectionate girl. This sweet girl knows sit and paw and would love to go home with her forever family for cuddles galore! I met Ginger for the first time today and she was immediately friendly and happy to see me when I entered her kennel. What a sweet girl! She treated me like we were old friends. I offered her a treat and she immediately offered me her paw- she knows how to give paw with both the right and the left! Ginger is affectionate and enjoyed giving kisses and cuddling. Such a nice girl to spend time with! Ginger was timid when she first came to PACC- and who can blame her after spending so many years in a home? Im sure it was a shock. Fast forward to now, though, and Ginger is so happy, sweet, and cuddly- she loves affection from her volunteer friends and is just a friendly, peppy old lady. I often take her to a play yard in the evenings and she usually stays by my side soaking up all the pets she can get. She walks well on leash and is a very good girl who deserves to get back into a loving home! Ginger has shared her kennel while at PACC and was social and easygoing during her latest playgroup evaluation with other PACC pups. A meet and greet with any resident pets is always a good idea!
