My Story

I'll be your dash of spice in a world of sweetness! My name is Ginger and I am a 2 year old 35 pound Treeing Walker Coonhound mix with a heart as big as my bark! I've been through quite a journey - I was rescued just after giving birth to three adorable little boy puppies. Let me tell you, I take great pride in being the best mama ever! Now that my little ones are weaned and growing up fast, I've transitioned to teaching them all the ropes of doggie life with endless patience and love. While I used to cuddle up with my puppies for warmth and comfort, I now enjoy my own cozy bed in the bedroom, although I still keep a close eye on them. I'm a pro at housebreaking, crate training, and I'm making strides in leash manners too! But my favorite activities involve romping around in the yard with my doggy pals, chasing, playing, and just being a happy hound. I will need a home with a fenced yard. My foster mom says that I am really a beautiful girl with a terrific personality and my adoptive family is going to be lucky to have me! I am a sweet nurturing gal who is ready to add flavor to your world! My adoption fee is $150 and includes my spay/neuter, vaccinations, wellness exam, heartworm test, and microchip! If you're interested in meeting/adopting me, please visit www.rescueonespringfield.com/our-adoption-process/adoption-application/ and fill out the form! We do adopt out of state with vet references and video home check. *Adopter is responsible for coming to get the dog and returning the dog if the adoption does not work out* Don't forget to LIKE us on Facebook!-www.facebook.com/rescueonespringfield *Remember, dogs are pack animals. Because of this, Rescue One does not adopt to outdoor-only homes. Pets are family and are not disposable. Please make sure that you are 100% committed to a pet before considering adding one to your home. We are a foster-based organization, and we need more fosters to help us save more animals!
