My Story

My brothers and sisters and I were born on 2/27/10. Since we were born under a house in Pasadena during some really cold weather, it was very hard for us to keep warm. But our Mom who looks a whole lot like a Border Collie did her best to stay close to us to keep us from getting cold and she fed us even though she didn’t have much to eat herself. When we were old enough to walk and come out from under the house, we followed our Mom wherever she went. Unfortunately, many times she went toward a very busy street. It was probably because she was hoping to find food there. For us, it was very dangerous because we were so small and people driving cars could not see us. For some reason children in the neighborhood thought it was funny to throw things at us and chase us. This was probably because they saw some adults who were yelling at us and trying to hit us with sharp objects. A kind neighbor took all of us in and started giving us good food. She even gave us names. The girls are Bella, Daisy, and Gigi, and the boys are Dewey and Pepper. But the lady has 3 dogs of her own that she has had to tie up outside so they won't hurt us. They don’t like us being in their yard. They are in danger of choking themselves on the ropes. They are also so upset from being tied up that they have stopped eating. Sometimes the place we are at is cold and wet. Sometimes it is very hot because there isn’t much shade. We need someone to adopt us or at least to be our foster parent until someone adopts us. We just need someone to take care of us and love us and we want to give lots of love back. These puppies are still in danger. We desperately need foster parents for them.

Adoptions are held on Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Petco on Bay Area Boulevard. The adoption fee starts at $125. All dogs are heartworm tested, on heartguard, fixed, vaccinated, dewormed and defleaed. All dogs are microchipped.
