Meet Gigi, a charming terrier mix with a heart as big as her smile. Born in December 2016, Gigi is a petite powerhouse at 43lbs, growing stronger and more vibrant each day. Her journey to us began when life’s unpredictable twists meant her previous family could no longer care for her and her siblings, Remy and Kobe. It wasn’t easy at first; trust had to be earned. But with time, patience, and plenty of tender care, Gigi’s true spirit emerged—a beacon of joy and sweetness. Gigi adores affection and has blossomed under the loving hands of our staff and volunteers. Her days are filled with adventure and discovery, from the thrill of daily walks to the excitement of mastering the leash—a concept once foreign but now a path to new horizons. She’s a quick learner, especially when treats are involved, making her an ideal companion for someone who delights in teaching new tricks and commands. While Gigi’s house training history is a bit of a mystery, her impeccable manners throughout the day hint at a lady of cleanliness and order. Nighttime is still a challenge within the shelter’s walls, but she’s proving to be a quick study, holding out with admirable patience. We’re confident that with a consistent routine, she’ll excel in a loving home environment. As for canine friends, Gigi’s bond with Remy and Kobe is unbreakable, but so far her social circle is only with those two that she knows. We have tried to introduce her to a couple of the other dogs here and she gave us clear signs that she wasn't too happy when they got near her. Gigi’s story is one of resilience and hope—a tale waiting to be continued with a family as special as she is. The price includes: a Home Again Microchip, set of shots, de-worming, heartworm testing (if old enough), spay or neuter, and a 1 year rabies shot (if old enough). All dogs adopted must leave with a county license at an additional cost of $17, this fee is cash only. Adoption fees can be done using credit card or cash.
