My Story

FOR ADOPTION by PEOPLE WHO WILL LOVE THEM FOREVER-MORE This is Gidget & Sally from Hobbs, NM, & this is their story: They've already been through a lot in their short lives. They were left behind by their owners, left to starve. The tiny twosome were eventually taken to the animal shelter and spent weeks there, but no one wanted them. They were rescued from the animal shelter in a massive rescue that saved more than 16 lives in one day. They had apparently been baby factories, but we're not sure. They are very young adults who have both had litters. They are approximately 6-8 pounds each. They are now in foster care in Hobbs, NM with other dogs and cats. They are soaking up the love and attention they receive in their foster home, and have quickly come to love bedtime - when they both snuggle up under the electric blanket in a warm, safe bed with their foster parents. Gidget loves to sleep 'like people' - on a pillow. UNDER the covers. Their favorite place is on any lap or body that will have them. They never venture very far from one another, and Gidget takes very good care of Sally, as Sally is smaller, not quite as brave and a little more frail. Sally takes her cues from Gidget. How they love one another. They need a permanent home in a place where they will be loved, kept indoors (these are NOT outdoor dogs!), cherished and taken care of for the rest of their lives. It would be best for them if they could go together and maintain the security they have both come to rely on in each other. They truly seem to need one another. The girls are spayed, micro-chipped and up to date on shots. An application, adoption fee and home visit are required. These two girls deserve a dog-loving home that takes the PRIVILEGE of raising them very seriously. Is there a long-term place in your heart, home and family for these girls?
