Gidget

Say hello to Gidget! Gidget is a tiny five-pound, five-year-old Chihuahua mix, looking for a forever home through Chi Town Rescue. Gidget came to rescue after she was humanely trapped by HARTT while running around as a stray on the streets. Can you imagine this tiny gal all alone in the big world? :-( Gidget is a small dog with a big heart. She loves cuddles and will readily hop into your arms for attention. She is currently in a temporary foster home and her foster mom reports that she follows her humans everywhere and sleeps under the covers next to them in bed. She knows how to use the doggy door and enjoys going in and out all day to enjoy the sunshine. Gidget does well with the other dogs in her foster home, as well as the dogs she has met at rescue, and is social and friendly. Gidget is currently available for a foster to adopt, as she needs medical follow up for some abnormal labs and a Tick Fever infection. Tick Fever is NOT contagious to other dogs and requires a tablet twice a day (which Gidget will take easily with some sort of tasty treat). Chi Town would love to get Gidget into her forever home sooner rather than later. Follow up will be provided at our vet for her repeat labs after completing the antibiotics for Tick Fever (in approximately one month).
