Gidget

Gidget is a sweet and loving Dachshund looking for her forever family! She’s estimated to be around 8yr old, and weighs just 10lbs. This deserving girl came to BarkVille Dog Rescue after she had been abandoned in a yard after her family moved. She was covered in ticks, and was in desperate need of dental care. She has received all medical treatment necessary, and is now ready to find a wonderful place to call home. This adorable girl has a shiny soft coat, a long body paired with short legs, and expressive big ears! Gidget LOVES to be held and snuggled. She also enjoys hanging by a window watching the world go by and is happy to go on car rides. Gidget is dog friendly, and is good with all people, including kids. She has a low energy level, and a calm disposition. Gidget would excel in just about any household! Since she is a low energy gal, she will go on short walks but does prefer to be held when she gets tired. She enjoys laying in bed, and would love a family who will snuggle up with her. Gidget is house trained, and crate trained. She is afraid of fireworks, and likes to be close to you when she’s nervous. Gidget is spayed, fully vaccinated, and microchipped. Applicants in surrounding states could potentially adopt a BarkVille dog if their application is approved, they live within 2-3 hours of the Greater Atlanta area, and they are able to pick up their dog from the foster home.
