Giacomo is a super smart pup and is already crate and house trained! He walks well on leash, but tends to be on the shy side, so he does best with patient and slow introductions to other dogs. He prefers older and/or dog-savvy kids, and while he hasn't been around cats in a while, his interactions have always been positive in the past. Because he is shy when meeting new people, he will be looking for adopters that can advocate for him out in the world and allow him to greet people when he is ready. He does best when he can be ignored by new people at first and then it doesn't take long for him to sniff you out and realize you're his new best friend! A sensitive and affectionate boy, Giacomo is happy to match your energy. Born with a heart murmur (for which he takes daily medication and is part of our Foster-to-Adopt program) Giacomo is still fit for long walks. However, he still needs to keep intense playtime to a minimum, which is perfect because he would much rather cuddle up on the couch with you! Giacomo is great in the crate and eats all of his meals in there. He sleeps happily in the crate during the day and patiently waits for his humans to return home from work. He is very respectful of rules and his humans and never gets into any mischief! Giacomo has a lot of love to give and his happy hops will steal your heart!
