My Story

Hi! My name is Ghost and I'm ready for my furever home. I'm a 1-2yr old Great Pyrenees mix and I weigh 77lbs. While I might be big, I'm really a big teddy bear. My foster mom says I'm the sweetest boy and she loves me lots. I wake her up every morning with some nose nudges and we go for our morning walk. I love being outside and chasing squirrels and lizzards, but I haven't caught any yet! I'm completely housebroken and have free run of the house. I've never had an accident inside or chewed anything up. My foster mom got me a Kong alligator and I love it a lot so that is coming with me! She also introduced me to Frosty Paws and they are the best treat especially when it's hot out. I stay inside most of the time as I really like to be near my humans. I'm a big snuggler and give lots of kisses. My foster mom says she wants to find me a family that has kids around 10 or older only because I am big. She also wants to find me a place with a yard to run and bonus points if my new mom or dad likes to go on long walks or even a run. I do bark at other dogs only because I get so excited to see a new four-legged buddy that I want to play with. I'm still learning the leash but my foster mom and foster sister say I'm getting better. My foster sister is leaving for college and I'm going to miss waiting by the front door to make sure she gets home safe at night. My foster family has given me so much love. My originally family dumped me out of their van and drove away. I chased the van until I couldn't see it anymore. A kind lady took care of me and helped me find my foster family. It was a scary start because I was heartworm positive and had to get neutered. I've finished my heartworm treatment and am 100% back to my happy, snuggly self. I do have some silly things I do like when I'm given a treat, I take it to a specific spot on the rug every time. My foster mom says I'm the gentlest big dog she's ever known and I'm not food aggressive at all. If you think I'd be a good match for you, please apply to adopt me. I promise you will fall in love with me right away! Ghost is being fostered in Houston, Texas and is available for adoption many places around the country.
