My Story

Ghost is progressing very well in foster care! He is learning the rules of the household, alerts us to needing to go outside, and is playing well with the other dogs at his foster home. He is running, wrestling, and learning how to leash-walk. Ghost came into foster care with a broken pelvis and is looking and acting very normal now! He has gained some muscle tone in his back legs from running with the other dogs and from getting regular daily exercise. Ghost had another x-ray done to see how his pelvis has healed, and while it has healed as much as is possible, his pelvis will never fully go back together (the vets expect his injuries were pretty severe). The only limitation we see right now is that he can sometimes have trouble turning corners! He should be able to do all the normal dog things - just won't be able to do heavier exercising such as jogging or big long hikes. Ghost is essentially still a puppy and a major ball player! Many experiences are new to him and all experiences are exciting! But since he IS a German Shepherd, he is quite smart and is learning quickly to adapt to new situations! He will need structure, exercise, training, and love to be the best he can be! Ghost is measuring 24" and his growth plates are closed as shown by x-ray. In the video, Ghost is the last dog in the line of dogs. Have we mentioned how gorgeous he is? And his eyes are so expressive and beautiful! Ghost's Adoption Fee is $350 which covers his veterinary expenses. Call us at (505) 877-7352 if you'd like to find out more about Ghost!
