6/12/10: George! George!!! Hey George!!!! He’s got a big bark that proudly announces his presence when other dogs show up, but after a little sniff sniff meet and greet, everyone is happy. He plays well with my female dane, is gentle with my mini-dachshund, and totally ignored the cats at Petco. Though he has not had a one on one encounter with a cat – so let us know if you have them. He has been good with all the dogs at GDFRL events and all the people, including the kids. He was previously in a home with 2 very small children.

George is housetrained, rides well in the car and has shown no signs of chewing, food or toy aggression, etc. He’s been awesome! He loves to play outside and is often seen pouncing through the yard when the weather is nice. Though you can also find him sprawled on the couch on his back afterwards. He’s pretty laid back overall. If you’re home – he’s going to want to be where you are, and will just lay down and hang with you for a while. He loves to snuggle if you let him & just wants to be your friend.

He has had free reign of my house since day one. I tried to crate him to see how he would do -- he won't even go in! So we're working on that just in case it's needed at some point. But it has not been necessary.

We’ve learned to sit – though he doesn’t really like it. Down is pretty good. He’ll shake your hand. Stay, well did I mention he was like velcro if you’re home?

We require a fenced yard (exceptions made on a case by case basis - NO exceptions for puppies or deaf/vision impaired dogs), that all other animals in the home be up to date on vaccinations as well as spayed/neutered and that all dogs live inside as a part of the family.
