All Planned Pethood dogs and puppies are altered (spayed/neutered) and fully vetted prior to adoption. Dog breed is a best guess by the vet and/or Petfinder breed expert findings. We cannot guarantee breed, weight, age of dogs or final adult size of puppies.

A 2 to 3 year old male Lab/Shepherd mix. George is housebroken and weighs 102 pounds. He was rescued from an area dog pound and is now looking for a loving family. George was dropped off at his foster's house and within 2 minutes he was the toast of the house. All the other dogs thought he was great and the humans loved him too. George weighs in at 102 pounds and needs to lose about 15. No problem, Planned Pethood can handle that. He was found as a stray and put into a dog pound. Weird thing is that he was found looking like he had just had a bath, nails trimmed and he obviously hasn't been missing any meals:) We think his people dumped him off somewhere to fend for himself. Nice people. George has also spent time with the foster mother's nearly 90 year old grandfather. Grandpa says George can come over anytime and that's the one thing Grandpa misses about not having a house- no dog. George is housebroken, doesn't chew on things he shouldn't, loves everyone, barks only when it's appropriate and gives great kisses. His new family might want to call him Happy because that's all he is. What a great dog George is. Planned Pethood sure is glad the dog pound calls us about this guy and gave us the opportunity to not only save his life but to also have the chance to know such a remarkable dog.
