Hi! This is George, originally Taco. He is about 9 months old, already neutered, healthy and very playful. He does have his down time too and LOVES to be cuddled and shown affection. He’s great with kids and other animals. He has lived with my other dog, Gracie (45 lbs) for the past few month and they get along famously. They wrestle and roll around and talk to each other. He has small dog syndrome – he thinks he’s boss and walks with a bit of a swagger/bounce and funny little wag of his tail. He does get slightly jealous when I pet Gracie (wags his tail and pushes his way between Gracie and I), but he’s learning to be patient. He just needs reinforcement. I make him sit and be calm before I pet him, but this is still a challenge for him. He’s a puppy. He is very potty trained and crate trained. I work 12 hour shifts and he RARELY has an accident in his crate. I have a dog door which he loves going in and out of but I’m sure he’d love to walk with you on a leash too. He looks like a mix between a Dachshund and a Terrier (Jack Russell?). He is black with one white paw, chest and spot on the back of his neck. I think he is full grown at about 25 lbs. He doesn’t have any food aggression or toy aggression. They free feed here. He is adorable and makes me laugh all the time. I am moving out of state and will be unable to take him with me. I’m trying to find a good home for George. It breaks my heart to have to give him up because he is just so cute and fun and playful. He is definitely a puppy and needs to learn more but will make someone a wonderful companion. I have already joined Banfield as his vet. I will continue to pay his plan for the remainder of his contract (first year). Please help me find a home for George.
