My Story

Location: Maple Grove MN My name is Genevieve, and I am one hilarious and opinionated dog that would love to make you laugh! What Genevieve Needs with her Forever Family: Genevieve is leery of new people, so she must have another dog in the home to guide her. She can be with kids that give her time and space to build trust (typically 8+ years old). She also would do best in a home that does not share walls, as she loves to express her thoughts and ideas to her family - she loves to have conversations with us, and it is hilarious! What we love about Genevieve: She is super smart. Once she has learned she can trust you, you could train her to do just about anything in the home. She loves learning 'word buttons' and playing games with her humans. She loves going on walks, but her most favorite thing is to play with other dogs. She does great with our 9 and 14 year old kids, but their friends know that they need to give her space; she doesn't like new people approaching her, but she will approach them for a proper greeting when she is ready. She is kennel and potty trained. Once she gets to know her humans, she will sneak in for some well loved neck scratches, and then she'll pop back to her favorite spot on the couch for a nap, or find a ball to run around with. She also loves chewing on antlers. Genevieve has made incredible progress in rescue, and is beyond ready to find her forever family! -------------- The best way to show interest in an animal is to submit an adoption application by visiting our website (www.rescuenetworkmn.org). Adoption fee includes spay/neuter, all age-appropriate vaccinations (distemper, rabies, and bordetella), heartworm and flea/tick preventatives, heartworm test (dogs), FIV/FeLV test (cats), dewormed, and microchip implant (including registration). Rescue Network is strictly foster based which means all adoptable animals are in a home and there cannot be a meet until an application is submitted and approved. We have no way of knowing the breeds in the animals. All breeds listed are best guess.
