My Story

Adopted 3/17/10 COURTESY LISTING GATOR Adoption Fee: $450 (includes transport to New England) Age: Approx 1year Gender: Male Location: Alabama Gulf Coast Contact: [email protected] WELL HELLO LITTLE GATOR GUY! Can you believe this sweet picture of total cuteness was found on I-10 westbound in Mobile, Alabama -- obviously a toss away, dodging traffic and left stranded? Sadly, when the shelter officials picked him up, he was clearly looking for someone who had decided that they just didn't want him anymore. Fortunately, his abandonment hasn't affected his sweet disposition and GATOR is decidedly remaining focused on ALL THINGS BRIGHT, WONDERFUL, AND FANTASTIC regardless of the unfortunate situation he finds himself in at present. We know it won't be long before he is on another road, and it will be to his FOREVER HOME, that's for sure! Gator is thirty pounds of love, heartworm negative, neutered and up-to-date on all vaccinations. As we said, this little happy fellow is full of good cheer, thought to be a Golden Retriever/Nova Scotia Duck-Tolling Retriever mix of all things wonderful and fun! Full of a zest for life, GATOR is eager to play with the other dogs and be in the mix, happy to be alive and enjoy the moment. He's the kind of dog that's never met a stranger, and even though he was found on the highway, he's traveling light -- not taking ANY BAGGAGE of the past with him to his future. So, be assured that we are gauging his success on all things positive, and we won't fail him in finding that perfect home where he can be the cherished prize he's supposed to be -- and ALWAYS WILL BE NOW THAT HE HAS BEEN RESCUED! It's our promise to GATOR, and we won't break it! Courtesy Posting dogs are looking for homes too and in the spirit of rescue, SGRR is dedicated to helping as many dogs as possible. SGRR is committed to our Sunshine rescue dogs but hope to help some other friends along the way by posting these dogs as a courtesy. Courtesy Posting dogs are not affiliated with SGRR and are not being adopted through SGRR. They are listed here as a courtesy to the caring people who have rescued or owned them and are trying to find them good homes. Please check the animal’s page for their contact information. SGRR does not have any direct information, knowledge or affiliation with these organizations or individuals.
