I'm a perfect sized Lab mix at 40 lbs. I will be about 4 years old this fall. My current parents got me through heartworm treatment over the winter and now I'm happy and healthy. I'm crate trained, potty trained, friendly, and generally very mellow, unless a package comes to the door! I get along with cat friends but sometimes get jealous of them if they get more attention than me. I do have a tendency to chase other animals at times so a house with no cats is probably best. I sleep all night and love my beds almost as much as belly rubs, which I will readily accept any time of the day. My favorite toy is a stuffed lamb that squeaks, and I like to squeak it to let my owners know when I'm in the mood to play. I like to go for walks and run in my yard. I don't like loud noises, especially fireworks so someone who has patience with this and can help me learn to work through my fears would be ideal. I seem to like most dogs but tend to bark at ones that are bigger than me, especially German shepherds. I am potty trained but prefer to go while on a walk so would need some encouragement going in a yard. I would do best in a home with experienced dog owners who can help me learn more.
