Friend is a 2-year-old small male Lab mix, he weighs about 40lbs. He was found in Houston, on the side of the road, he didn't have a collar, he was covered with fleas & ticks, very underweight and he had a limp. His teeth were broken and his ribs were once broken on the left side. It was obvious that this dog had been through a lot., most likely was hit by a car.
It was Friend’s lucky day to be picked up by a good Samaritan. He was cleaned up and taken to the vet where he was neutered, vaccinated and also treated for Heartworms.
Now that Friend is all healed up, he is ready for a new loving home. Friend is a very friendly dog, he loves everyone and he is happy to be alive and pain free. He is not a needy dog, but he likes to be petted when you offer it, otherwise sleeping is his favorite pastime. Friend loves small stuffed animal toys, he gently carries them around the house and he like to take them out of the toy box. He doesn't destroy things, he does not bark or dig and he is fully house broken. Friend also likes swimming, he will chase a ball but will not retrieve yet.
Friend is the most docile and well mannered dog. He will make a great family pet, especially is you have children. If interested in meeting Friend, please fill out the adoption application on our website, or if you have questions, please e-mail Lee Adolph at: [email protected]
