Thank you for your interest in dog who needs a new home. Adoption can be one of the most fulfilling experiences in your life and especially in the life of your new canine companion.
A note to those looking at CPR. We have no perfect dogs - but many of our dogs have proven to be perfect for a certain someone. Our job is to find those someone's. Our most successful adopters come to CPR not because they want a dog. They come to us because they want to give a dog a home. We urge all of our potential adopters not to fall in love with a picture. While we like to know what you like in looks, a dog is more than a pretty face. Our goal is to match you with the best possible pet for you and your home. We want to create furever families.
Our descriptions contain all that we know about this dog today. We'll update as more information is known.
Are you looking to adopt within the next 30 days? If so please visit our webpage at www.carolinapoodlerescue.org and complete the application. You'll find it in the menu on the left hand side. You'll also find a total listing of all our dogs available.

Date into Rescue: 4/22/2024
Reason for being in rescue: hoarding case/seized by animal control
Foster location: Dreamweaver Farms, Pacolet SC
Special Needs? Frannie is spayed, up to date on vaccines and heartworm negative. Frannie had a dental on 07/17/24, she lost one tooth. However, Frannie's dental issues are not completely resolved. Long term excellent management of her teeth is essential to her ongoing health. Frannie also had a fatty mass removed from her side on 07/17/24. Frannie has what we affectionately refer to as poodle ears. They need to be cleaned at a minimum weekly and will need to be checked by your veterinarian regularly. Frannie will need regular ear cleans and your vet will need to check them regularly.
Weight: 52 lbs
Height: 22 in est at the shoulder
Spayed/Neutered: Yes
Adoption Fee: $599
Fence needed? Yes, Frannie requires a physically fenced yard with fencing 4 feet or taller.
What kind of home would be best for me? Frannie wants to be with you, with her dog friends, even with the birds on the power lines. She loves life, loves what is living and is happiest in the middle of a large family. The best part about Frannie - even with this desire to be in the middle of it all, she remains laid-back and relaxed. She walks at a leisurely pace, moseying her way from play yard to field.
Frannie would be a great companion for hiking and beach trips at a pace where you can enjoy your journey. Preferring to waltz rather than run, Frannie will sniff flowers in the garden as you take pictures. She loves her one on one time just as equally as her time with her pals. As an independent lady, Frannie would fare well with or without a furry friend at home. She's comfy with her buddies or just with you on those cozy cuddly movie nights. Her laid-back demeanor and go-with-the-flow attitude make her an ideal candidate for children. She'd do equally as well with a single adopter or a couple as long as you include her in almost all you do.
What is my personality like? Frannie lives up to her poodle heritage (the AKC website for poodle personality says Poodles are eager, athletic, and wickedly smart dogs of remarkable versatility) and Frannie is all of that. She goes bounding through the play yards with a perpetual smile. Once seized from a breeding facility, she now thrives at CPR, embracing each day to the fullest. Whether chatting with buddies along the fence line or snoozing under our storage container, Frannie embraces it all! She steps into every situation with strength and confidence and loves to be included in everything. We can't stress enough that Frannie is a chill girl! She's nonchalant about life, laid back, gets along effortlessly with all dogs, and even coexists peacefully with cats.
Frannie is confident and independent and can spend time by herself just sniffing the grass or sunbathing. Even in situations that are new to Frannie, she is resilient and quickly finds her way in navigating new waters. If you are looking for a life-long companion who will join in all your adventures, Frannie is the girl for you!
How do I act when I first meet new people? Frannie wastes no time in greeting people or meeting her friends to talk first thing in the morning. You can bet she will be right there with you, and if she's not feeling super social that day, she'll greet you and then move on about her day.
Other tips and tidbits: Based on her overall health and condition, our veterinary partner has estimated Frannie at 5 years old. We celebrate her birthday 4/16/2019.
House trained? Dogs can be house trained if they are in the right environment and are allowed to follow a schedule if a physical reason doesn't keep them from being trained. A dog house trained in my home may not be in yours. We will help you teach your new dog this necessary skill and based on your schedule.
Please note - we do not ship dogs. If you are interested in adopting, please take a look at the distance between the foster home location and your location and make sure you are willing to make that trip. Most of our dogs are at our farm in Pacolet, South Carolina.
To apply, please visit our webpage at www.carolinapoodlerescue.org and visit the tab on the left that directions you to the online application.
Please note that when screening applications, we look at the entire home and then make suggestions based on what would be a good fit for your home. You are not being screened for a specific dog although we are looking to see what type of dog interests you - poodles or non poodles, color, age, etc. Others here may be a better fit for you. It is very difficult to get to know a living animal from a picture and a short description. Since we are constantly getting in new dogs, this may be a dog not in our listings yet. We want you to be very happy with your new companion and will make suggestions based on what you tell us about you.
Thank you for considering CPR.
