My Story

Frankie's foster mom says: What a big goof! Look at that cute face!

Arrival story: Frankie was part of a unwanted litter. His family gave part of the litter away for free before surrendering the other half to our rescue. Unfortunately, Frankie was one of the pups given away for free. He was bounced between different homes and animal control before we found him. His story is all too common for animals given away for free.

Approximate age: Approximately 8 months old.

Personality: Frankie is new to our group and so far we can say that Frankie is a big, lovable, playful puppy. He is wonderful with other dogs, playfully interested in cats and good with children. He loves all people. He has lots of energy to burn, but he also loves his naps. Frankie is doing great on housetraining. We are working with him and will post more as we continue to learn more about him.

Frankie's forever home: Frankie is a large puppy (already weighing over 60 pounds). He needs an active home and a family who will commit to his training in order to ensure he lives up to his potential.

Waggin' Tails Adoption Information: Waggin' Tails Dog Rescue has a standard adoption fee of $175, or $200 for puppies plus a $50 deposit which is returned upon proof of spay/neuter at six months of age. Our adoption process includes an application, vet reference checks, and a home visit.

We do not have a facility; all of our dogs are fostered in private homes. To view our dogs, please check www.waggintailsdogrescue.org for the dates of our next adoption events. With few exceptions, we show our adoptable animals on Saturdays from 12pm - 3pm at Petco in Novi (on Novi Rd south of 12 mile) or Petco in Farmington Hills (Orchard Lake south of 14 mile). Arrangements can be made to meet our rescue dogs outside of Saturday adoption events after an approved application is submitted (the application does not imply an obligation by the applicant or by the rescue group).

Please be kind to our volunteers who have made rescue a second job that they do in their spare time after coming home from full-time jobs. E-mail inquiries will be answered much more quickly than phone inquiries; our phone number is a voice mailbox only.

Thank you for your support of rescue and your interest in a rescue dog!
