The first step to meeting any of our dogs is to submit an application. It in no way obligates you to adopt, it is simply part of our process. If the dog you are interested in is adopted before you can meet them or if we do not currently have a dog you are interested in we still encourage you to go through the approval process. Then you will be pre-approved and ready to adopt when a dog does come along that you are interested in. Apply at www.arizonacattledogrescue.org
This young, handsome, blued eyed baby will be available for adoption as of the 9th of May! Meet Frankie. He is almost 4 months old and is just the most gorgeous boy, with his blue, blue eyes, and his floppy black ears. He is a card carrying ACD (Australian Cattle Dog) mix. What is he mixed with? He has been tight lipped with that information so we can only speculate that somewhere in his lineage there was a hound of some sort. He does not bay but barks like every other self-respecting ACD.
He has just the best personality. Always happy, and very active with his 4 foster brothers and sisters. He keeps them on their toes with his antics. He loves to play with the big dogs, and he loves to cuddle with his foster parents. He adores his squeaky toys and will share a game of tug-tug with his foster sister. He is not going to be a big dog, rather we think he will be medium sized when he finally grows into his feet and his ears. He currently weighs in at 15 lbs.
Frankie is 60% crate trained and is still learning the ropes of house training. He’s a smart little guy and will get it as he ages a bit. He loves to play chase in the backyard with the other fosters and he is darned good at keeping up! He is very treat-motivated so any training you want to do with him will only require that you bring food to the party!
Frankie is fully vetted and ready to find his forever home, hopefully with another dog who is respectful of him.
He is currently being fostered in Rio Rico. If you wish to meet Frankie please go to our website, Arizonacattledogrescue.org, and fill out an application. Once your application is approved, we will be more than happy to forward your information to his foster family for follow up, if Frankie is still available at that time.
