My Story

Meet Frank, aka Mr. Personality! Frank is a 4-year-old cutie pie who is the epitome of a social butterfly. He wants to make friends with everyone he meets and is eager to crawl in your lap and cover you in kisses. He is the perfect little sidekick to be right by your side for whatever the day holds. Frank is fully grown and weighs about 10lbs. Frank was found as a stray with his buddy, Beans, and brought to the local animal shelter. They both were in horrible condition and were covered in mats and foxtails. A local groomer offered her services, and now he feels much better with his new haircut. Beans has been adopted, so now it's Frank's turn! Frank is a happy little man who loves to be the center of attention. His ideal day would be cuddling with his family and getting yummy treats. We have found that while Frank is a total lap dog, he is also a great little running buddy and does great keeping pace and sticking right by your side. We have also found out that he loves to play fetch! Frank seems like he would like to be your one and only fur kid. He thinks kitties are a little too fun to chase, but may do okay with dog-savvy cats with some training and management. Frank has previously lived with kids and would make a wonderful addition to a family with kids 5 years or older. Frank has been doing well with his housetraining, but his new family should keep an eye on him while adjusting to a new environment and routine. Frank has done well being crated at night and when home alone. Frank has done well living in an apartment. Due to his fur type, Frank requires routine grooming. His new family should be prepared to pay for professional grooming or be willing to learn to ensure his coat is properly maintained. Frank doesn't shed, but we cannot guarantee he is allergy-friendly as we do not know his exact breed mix. Frank is such a sweet boy and we know his perfect family is out there. If you think that might be you, submit an adoption application today! Frank's adoption fee is $350. Apply to adopt here! https://form.jotform.com/52017002013129/ Applications are also available on the website (www.yolospca.org) It can take up to 3-5 business days to hear back once you have submitted an application. The Yolo County SPCA is a private, not-for-profit, foster home-based animal rescue organization and does not have a shelter. All our animals awaiting adoption are in foster homes. Our adoption fees help us cover the cost of spay/neuter surgery, microchip and registration, and rabies vaccination (if over 4 months of age at intake or spay/neuter) for all animals. Dogs are tested for heartworm, started on preventatives, and given a DAPP vaccination. Adult dogs are up to date on their vaccinations prior to adoption. Puppies will be current on the vaccinations appropriate to their age. The adopter is responsible for additional vaccinations as necessary after the adoption.
