My Story

As this years winner at the "Silver Paws Spectacular", I am proof that age is just a number when it comes to beauty. My name is Foxy Roxy and I am a 9 year old, 14 pound Papillon mix. But my journey to becoming a pageant queen is more than just fancy ribbons and sparkling tiaras. It is a celebration of resilience, strength, and the joy of embracing the golden years. Behind the scenes, I spend my days relaxing under a chair or bed. I will let you know when I need to go out! I don't need a crate if I am left out for short periods of time. A home or an apartment without many stairs would be the best fit for this senior gal. As you can imagine, like most older pups out there, I have my aches and pains. But with a crown atop my head, I triumph over adversity as I bravely battle both diabetes and arthritis, both managed with medication by my vet. I require insulin injections twice daily. My medications will cost about $100 per month from a vet. Through life's ups and downs, I remain a beacon of inspiration for all senior pups out there. If you are ready to embark on a journey of companionship and true love with a beauty pageant winner, look no further than Foxy Roxy! As a senior, my adoption fee is Sponsored and includes my spay/neuter, vaccinations, wellness exam, heartworm test, and microchip! **Petfinder inquiries are NOT official applications! Because of this, Rescue One does not adopt to outdoor-only homes. Pets are family and are not disposable. Please make sure that you are 100% committed to a pet before considering adding one to your home. We are a foster-based organization, and we need more fosters to help us save more animals!
