Woof, Woof, My name is Ford. I am estimated to be about 3 years old. What breed dog am I you ask? Well when HEA got me, I was labeled “a great dane mix”, however, HEA is pretty confident that I am a Catahoula Leopard Dog also known as a Catahoula Cur. I am a pretty amazing boy if I do say so myself. I am assertive with other dogs (I like with 9 other boys and they all know I am in charge of the pack). I guess you could call me “large and in charge”. I am not mean to any of the other dogs I just want them to respect me. I am very playful with them… the 4 Aussie boys like to play with me. I am very much a people dog. All I really want when people come in by me is to be close to them. When I first arrived at HEA, I jumped on people to show them how happy I was to see them, but they have taught me I can be excited and keep all four feet on the ground (sometimes I do forget, so just remind me if I get carried away with joy when I meet you). I will need regular exercise, at least an hour or so a day, because Catahoulas are bred to be hunters and herders. I am a very energetic and intelligent boy so I would love it if you would challenge my mind by enrolling me in some kind of training/obedience class. I know if you add me to your family you will not be disappointed. I am a super loving and special boy. I promise to add love to your life. Yours truly, Ford
