Transports run every few weeks and we will have the dog on the next available transport once approved. If you are not able to accept a dog until a specific time period, please apply at that time************ We are a volunteer run rescue and donate our time to these dogs. We really do not want to waste anyone's time if you are not serious about adopting this dog. Flora, 3.5 year old, spayed female, pit bull/Staffordshire Terrier/land seal mix, 48 pounds. Flora is in a foster home in San Antonio, TEXAS and can transport out of state once an approved adopter is lined up! Flora loves to play but she is not always interested in playing. Lots of times she would rather shower a human with kisses than play with another dog. However, when she is playing she does get really excited and has high energy. She gets the zoomies and sometimes enjoys tug of war. She loves to tear toys up and chew bones! She has more of a mild energy when playing most of the time but if she gets really excited she’s like a rocket ship with the zoomies! She would do best with a well balanced/lower energy dog companion as she can get carried away and this sometimes leads to squabbles. We do not have any history with kids or cats, but given her friendly affect toward any human, we think she would love to have a two legged sibling of her own. In general, we recommend homes with kids over the age of 10yrs or those who can understand and will respect animal behavior cues. Given Flora's prey drive, we anticipate she would do best in a home without cats. Flora is very good on the leash, walking calmly at your side with very little pulling or stopping. She has no issues when meeting dogs on a leash and is overall very friendly. She's crated when unable to be supervised since she does still have a few accidents, but that is improving every day. She's been crated for several hours at a time and does well. She has her moments when she’s super energetic but she also loves her naps and doesn’t mind chilling out all day. Another dog would be nice, as she’s been great 99.9% of the time with other dogs. She gets very excited for walks and it’s funny to watch her get the zoomies. She’s definitely a goofball! Flora has not shown any issues with food aggression or resource guarding, and doesn't mind sharing her toys or bones. She is such a love bug and adores her humans. She will shower you with kisses and give you endless cuddles! She loves to tear toys to shreds and is very happy meeting strangers. She responds well to authority and listens extremely well to her human, wanting to please. She would appreciate someone willing to work with her on her few faults...in return she is willing to pay you with the utmost loyalty and sweetness! Whoever adopts her is a very lucky person! ***Listed BREED and AGE - We are taking our best guess & recommendations from our veterinarian on age, breed and size when fully grown.
